Bridgnorth Spartans 2 Stafford Town Ladies 0
A goal in each half was enough to give the Spartans the win, helping them climb the table.
The game started slowly, with Stafford looking like they were still in the changing rooms for the first ten minutes.
Bridgnorth took the lead after 15 minutes, a deep cross falling to the unmarked striker at the back post, who lifted it over Tracy Leese in the Stafford goal.
The rest of the half drifted past, with neither side creating many chances.
Stafford looked more threatening in the second half, but again Bridgnorth scored, their right winger charging into the box and then looking to cross, only to see the ball drift into the top corner.

Stafford Town 6 Bedworth United 3
Stafford Town produced a thrilling comeback to beat Bedworth 6-3 at Wildwood. Two goals apiece for Georgia Key, Kathy Munden and Tash Hughes helped the Reds come back from a 2-0 deficit. Bedworth raced into a 2-0 lead inside the first twenty minutes, but Key pulled a goal back having latched onto a loose goal kick from the Bedworth keeper.
It was Key who pulled Stafford level, Stacey Boreham putting a good ball into the channel for Key to run on to, before slotting the ball past the oncoming keeper.
Early in the second half, Munden put Stafford ahead when she tapped in from three yards out after Tash Hughes saw her shot saved. Munden extended the lead when she again finished from close range, after good work by Laura Simmonds down the left flank. Hughes finally got onto the score sheet, latching onto a neat through ball by Charlotte Vernon, before firing viscously past the keeper. Bedworth pulled a goal back to make the score 5-3, before Hughes scored a carbon copy goal to make the game safe and to ensure Stafford got back to winning ways.

Stafford Town Ladies 9 Withymoor 2
Stafford Town banished the memories of last week’s mauling at the hands of Willenhall Town by brushing aside Withymoor Ladies by nine goals to two. Four goals apiece from Georgia Key and Tash Hughes, accompanied by a strike from Stacey Boreham meant that the previous week’s result could be well and truly forgotten. Stafford got out of the blocks very quickly, going two goals clear in the first five minutes. Tash Hughes opened the scoring, tapping in at the back post after a cross from the left wing. Georgia Key doubled the advantage when she turned in the penalty area and fired a left footed shot into the bottom corner of the net. It was 4-0 by half-time with Hughes adding two more goals and completing her hat-trick in the first half.
The second half started slowly, but Stafford went five goals clear when a corner from the right hand side was headed into the top corner by Key. Withymoor pulled a goal back when a long ball was finished by their striker, lobbing the ball over the advancing Stafford keeper. Stafford soon regained their five goal lead, left back Stacey Boreham looking to cross the ball from the left, only to see her effort sail over the keeper and drop into the back of the net.
Withymoor again pulled a goal back, with the same striker scoring an almost carbon copy goal as her first effort. However, another three Stafford goals, two from Key and one more from Hughes meant that Stafford kept in touch with the early pacesetters at the top of the league.
