Stafford Town u 18's 2 Shotfield 4 Despite scoring in the first minute Stafford could not hold onto their lead and eventually lost 2 - 4 to Shotfield. Sunday 12th October 2008 County Minor Youth League Kidsgrove Athletic 1 - Stafford Town U18s 4 Stafford had their first win of the season away against a strong Kidsgrove team, with three first half goals from; David Foster, Jona Carveleho and John Warburton. Stafford conceded an early second half penalty early but defended well to keep the score the same, including a man of the match performance from Goalkeeper - Ryan Gallagher Late on in the game, Stafford added a fourth goal with a penalty from Mo Ahmed. Blythe Bridge 3 - Stafford Town U18's 2 Stafford's first game of the season in a higher division didn't go according to plan. After conceding two early goals Stafford pulled level with goals from Dan Hague and Matt Moorcroft in the second half. Blythe Bridge scored another in the second half and Stafford were unlucky not to come away with a point after Stuart Millage beat the goal keeper but his long range shot hit the bar. Next week Stafford have a home game against Chesterton.
