Lauren Hancox was on hand to score her first of the game to make it 1-1. After the half Stafford began to dominate and managed to score another past the Hednesford keeper. However Stafford's midfield began to sit back and Hednesford crept back in, this time with an own goal from the defence. Hednesford then became lucky after a goal kick went straight to the Hednesford striker, hitting it first time straight into the empty net. Player of the match - Abbie Harris 10.10.09 Stafford Town 6 - Walsall 0 Stafford again winning comfortably over opposition, Goals from Rebecca Scott (3), Lauren Hancox, Josie Woodward and Sofia Wojciuk, Also playing extremely well Leia Whitfield, Tori Hamplett, Abby Harris and Sian Bell. This leaves Stafford 2nd in the league. Excellent play coming from Leia Whitfield, Tori Hamplett and Abby Harris to give Stafford their first league win of the season. Player of the match - Lauren Hancox South Staffs Young Womens League 25th September Lichfield Diamonds 3 - Stafford Town 0 Player of match - Sofia Wojciuk Wyrley Juniors U11 0 - Stafford Town 6 Goal scorers - Lauren Hancox (5), Sofia Wojciuk Player of match - Lauren Hancox Stafford Town U10 girls 1 v Hednesford Girls U10 1 Goal Scorer - Tori Hamplett Stafford Town U10 Girls 1 v Chasetown U11 Girls 0 (friendly) Newly formed Stafford Town U10 girls took on older and stronger opponents for their first match. It took a while for the Stafford girls to settle but once they did they grew stronger as the match went on. The goal came from Abby Harris after some great play in the midfield from Lauren Hancox and Lorna Mitchell. After the goal Town continued to battle and play some excellent football. Heroic defending from Tori Hamplett, Chelsea Ray and Sofia throughout the game which kept Towns Keeper Rebecca Scott quiet for most of the game. when it came to a couple of Chasetown shots Rebecca was there with 2 match winning saves. The girls played extremely well and are looking forward to next season.
